Anti-Aging and Yoga, Is there a connection?

From an anti-aging perspective, the real question is not whether to exercise, but more importantly, what kind of exercise? Several Options exist, however one stand-out will be the incomparable Yoga.

It must be mentioned that there are three components of a total anti-aging exercise program which are Flexibility, Strength and Cardiovascular training.

The good news is Yoga Exercises could give you all of those when practiced correctly. Moreover, when combined with other forms of body-weight exercises such as Pilates, Hindu-Push Ups (both being direct descendants of Yoga) and Calisthenics, you are definitely bound to see a drastic delay in the whole aging process.

Some yoga poses such as the Sun Salutations, The Shoulder Stand and the Abdominal Lift Exercises in Yoga have been known for centuries to delay aging naturally (of course in an adherence to a proper diet).

Though any vigorous exercise may suffice, Yoga stands unmatched as an anti-aging exercise of physical culture.

Moreover, the yogic diet is an advocated lifestyle of several experts in the drug-free fraternity and let’s not overlook the relaxation that arises from using Yoga poses, especially the Relaxation Pose.

Even religious monks are in on the several benefits of Yoga for anti-aging.
You see two thousand years ago, Tibetan monks claimed that the aging process could be reversed. They developed the Rites, by condensing 21 yoga anti-aging exercises into 5

All in all, just take one look at Madonna, Sting, Russell Simmons or Ricky Martin,
Make-up and photo-retouching aside, these people still look good for their ages and they all (like several people) practice some form of Yoga.

So, if delaying the aging process is an especial goal of yours, you would do very well to do some Yoga. It wouldn’t hurt and possibly could help a whole lot.

Here’s to staying, looking and feeling younger AND to health.
