Its Important to care for your Feet

Care of the feet is one of the most important aspects of your overall health care.

Foot pain may be caused by many things, Metatarsalgia is the general term that is medically used to describe a painful condition. This condition may be commonly found in the ball of the foot. The 5 bones of the mid part of the foot may become painful due to this.

The condition often results in a variety of painful complaints. Overpronantion or Flat feet are a major cause of this.

Arch pain is also another common complaint and is caused by inflammation resulting in a burning sensation in the arch of the foot.

Arch pain is best resolved by wearing comftorable shoes which give full support to the arch.
Ladies avoid high heeled shoes.

It is very important to ensure that your feet are properly cared for at all times and that you wear the appropraite foot wear to ensure that you feet stay fit and healthy.

No one is immune to foot problems and it is very important to treat any issues before they become serious.

We have come up with some simple ways to keep your feet in good shape.

Here are a some general foot care tips:

Check your feet every day for red spots, cuts, swelling, and blisters.

Wash feet daily and dry them thoroughly.

Keep your skin soft and smooth by using lotion after bathing.

Trim toenails regularly, straight across and file the edges with a nail file.

Wear shoes and socks at all times. Never walk barefoot. Wear comfortable shoes that fit well and protect your feet. Make sure the lining is smooth.

Protect your feet from hot and cold. Wear shoes at the beach or on hot pavement. Don't put your feet into hot water. Never use hot water bottles, heating pads, or electric blankets. You can burn your feet without realizing it.

Keep the blood flowing to your feet. Put your feet up when sitting. Wiggle your toes and move your ankles up and down when sitting. Do not sit crossed legged for long periods of time. Don't smoke.

Set a time every day to check your feet.
